Multiracial actors in Korea!!!

Multi-culti or multi-racial is hitting Korea. Foreign influence in Korean media has significantly increased over the past years. Foreign actors Daniel Henney and Dennis Oh, who are partly Korean, may have started it, but now there are more and more non-koreans making it onto the local screen.

Japanese-British woman Eva Popiel and Julian Quintart, a 20-year old from Belgium, are appearing on popular dramas and opening the doors for others to follow. Special and limited editions big in Korea!!!

A 100,000 won to 200,000 won (about $92 to $184) special edition skincare set by Koreana Cosmetics released at ``Chuseok'' (Korean thanksgiving), a LG Electronics Roberto Cavalli-designed special edition U8360 model, which was only offered to 999 buyers in Italy, and a special edition Samsung Electronics 70-inch full high definition LCD TV priced at almost 60 million w0n (about $56,000) are just some of the goods that are part of a trend in Korea.

Limited and special editions have been popular in the US and Europe, but now they are becoming very trendy in the Korean market as well. Those goods allow the buyer to make a statement and feel privileged. This trend can be seen on a much larger scale and marketers around the country are creating products that will give their brand an added edge. It will be interesting to see which companies will jump on this opportunity.
